Poster Fold Design
The festival I chose for my poster fold is Second Sky, a large festival hosted by Porter Robinson. My main goal with this assignment was to give a large amount of contrast between the different musicians on the lineup, purposefully making the hierarchy between the headliners uncertain. This is evocative of Porter’s main goal with the festival: to give every artist the spotlight. To this end, I alternated between a bold sans serif typeface, and a smaller italic serif for the subheadings.
Final
Contrary to the inside, the front cover is supposed to be big and bold. Its purpose is to evoke the flashing lights used as a digital visual by porter and other artists on the lineup. This is in contrast to the quote used: “everything we need is already here.” The quote itself is very vulnerable and personal, which follows the themes of the festival
